Let’s be honest: who hasn’t daydreamed in a concert hall at least once, wishing to leave their place in the audience, and experience instead how an orchestral musician sees and hears music in concert? Our project entitled In the Orchestra allows you to do precisely this. The ensemble will be spaced throughout the concert hall in Besední dům and the audience will sit among the players. You can’t get any closer to the orchestra than this! We tried this very successfully once before. This time, you’ll discover how the make-up of the orchestra developed historically, from the Baroque, Classical, Ro
mantic and early 20th-century periods to the more recent past, and see how the conductor’s role has changed too. Our musical excerpts will reprise two famous works which had their world premičres in Brno, Janáček’s Taras Bulba in 1921 and Prokofiev’s ballet Romeo and Juliet in 1938.

Tickets are sold by sectors.
Seats are not numbered.

Sector A: in and around the orchestra
Sector B: on the stage
Sector C: on the balcony
