Event Details
Pavel Farský graduated in piano from the Prague Conservatoire and the Janáček Academy of Performing Arts, Brno, as well as the Prague University of Economics and Business. Since 1998, he has intensively studied and performed the works of Anthony Philip Heinrich (1781–1861), the first professional American composer, who was born in Bohemia, in Krásný Buk near Česká Lípa. Farský has been presenting Heinrich’s works in concert and is also the author of the Czech-German book Anthony Philip Heinrich – americký Beethoven z Krásné Lípy. His recital is conceived as a combination of a performance of Heinrich’s works (and Beethoven’s Piano Variations in C minor for context) and a talk about the composer.
