Two Antonín: Rejcha and Dvořák. These authors are opening a new edition of recordings that the Filharmonie Brno is releasing on its own label. “We plan to present exceptional works that you don’t normally listen to, that you don’t get easily,” said the director of the Filharmonie Brno, Marie Kučerová. Chief conductor and artistic director Dennis Russell Davies calls both albums impressive and significant, especially as the recorded works are virtually unknown to domestic audiences. “I will be very happy if listeners discover them and love them as much as our entire orchestra,” Davies said. CDs with cover photos of Brno artist Vojtěch V. Straw will be available in the Filharmonie Brno ticket office. Watch the News section.
