“All roads lead to Brno,” says the motto of the new season. It refers to the stories of world-renowned composers who visited Brno—such as Mozart, Brahms, and Mahler—whose works you will hear during the new season.

But the philharmonic stage also welcomes artists who are shaping the global music scene: Laurie Anderson, Fazıl Say—this time with his own piano recital—harpsichordist, organist, and conductor John Butt, cellist Daniel Müller-Schott, conductor David Robertson… Some stars are returning to Brno, while others are visiting for the first time.

Overview of Subscription Series

Every path leads to music—just in a different way. You can choose on how you want to listen: in a large hall, featuring world-class soloists; up close; or with a desire to discover something new.

We offer nine subscription series. Two main series at the Janáček theatre, an orchestral and chamber music series at the Besední dům, two subscription series for children, a series of jazz and world music concerts, concerts by our children’s choir Kantiléna, and the Young blood subscription series, featuring young orchestra members.

Koho potkáte na cestě

V nové sezoně se setkávají výrazné osobnosti současné hudby s interprety, kteří dávají nový výraz klasickému repertoáru. Každý z nich jde vlastní cestou a společně tvoří sezonu propojující různé světy.

Fazıl Say

Klavírista a skladatel světového renomé. Virtuozita a emoce hned ve třech večerech: sólovém recitálu a velkém koncertu s orchestrem.

Daniel Müller-Schott

Jeden z nejžádanějších violoncellistů současnosti. „Odvážný hudebník s ohromující technikou“ (The New York Times).

Laurie Anderson

Ikona současné hudby, která propojuje hudbu, technologii a silný osobní příběh. Do Brna se vrací se svým jedinečným projektem Amelia.

David Robertson

Dirigent a hudební vizionář, který se do Brna vrací po mnoha letech. Silná osobnost s citem pro klasiku i současnost.

John Butt
