THE POSITION OF FIRST TRUMPET PLAYER

 

The auditions are taking place in the concert hall of Besední dům, Komenského náměstí 8, Brno, Czech Republic, at 9 a.m. on May 17^th 2021.

 

AUDITION CONDITIONS:

1^st round

Compulsory composition:

J. Haydn: Trumpet Concerto in E-flat major (play the trumpet in B flat)

– 1^st movement including cadenza

– 2^nd  movement

 

Orchestra parts:

L. van Beethoven: Leonora No. 3

L. van Beethoven: Leonora No. 2

A. Dvořák: Slavonic Dance No. 9

A. Dvořák: Symphony No. 9

 

2^nd round

Compulsory composition:

A. Honegger Intrada

 

Orchestra parts:

A. Dvořák Slavonic Dance No. 4

A. Dvořák Symphony no. 8 (2^nd and 4^th movement)

L. Janáček Glagolitic Mass

N. A. Rimsky-Korsakov: Scheherezade

I. Stravinsky Petrushka

R. Strauss Don Juan

R. Strauss An Alpine Symphony

M. Ravel Piano Concerto in G major

B. Bartók Concerto for Orchestra

M. P. Musorgsky Pictures at an Exhibition

G. Mahler Symphony No. 5

 

Written applications with CV, contacts, information on the applicant’s education (a diploma from a conservatory or a music academy or university, at least (secondary) school-leaving certificate to the date of orchestra arrival) and overview of previous artistic experience are due on April 16^th 2021 at the following address:
