Special concerts | Filharmonie Brno

The new season’s series of special concerts will offer a diverse and rich lineup of performances. It will include traditional philharmonic events such as the Season Opening Concert and the New Year’s Concert (this time featuring film music conducted by the orchestra’s chief conductor). We will present the successful meditative concert twice this season. The popular “In the Orchestra” project will also continue, featuring not only a reprise of “As Time Went By” but also two new programs titled “Hearing Brno” and “Smetana 203.” The concert with laureates will once again introduce young, promising performers to the audience. And to conclude the season, you can look forward to a real treat in the form of a recital by Fazil Say, whom you’ll be able to hear perform right on stage.

Divided into two parts, the evening sensitively combines yoga relaxation and meditation techniques with music therapy. It offers a safe space for calming down, conscious breathwork, deeper emotional awareness, and the restoration of inner balance. The musical program features delicately tuned, meditative, and resonant compositions, as well as imaginative improvisations that foster introspection and harmony.
