200 Years Without Ludwig van Beethoven
On March 23, 1827, Ludwig van Beethoven signed his will, bequeathing his modest fortune to his nephew Karl; when he set down his pen, he declared: “I will write no more.” The following day, he consented to a visit from a priest. After the priest’s departure, he uttered: “Plaudite, amici, comedia finita est” (Applaud, friends, the comedy is over), a phrase with which actors took their leave at the end of a play. He passed away in the early evening of March 26, 1827. It is said that at that time a storm was raging, thunder struck several times, and lightning lit up the sky…

We are reserving subscription seats for Season 70 subscribers until May 29, 2026, at 6:00 p.m.
Subscribers will be notified by email about how to reserve their subscriptions for the new, 71st season (no later than April 28, 2026).
Starting April 28 or once the reservation is created, you can renew your subscription online.
Subscription sales at the Brno Philharmonic box office begin on May 11, 2026, at 8:00 a.m.
The concert is available for purchase AS PART OF AN SUBSCRIPTION starting April 28, 2026 (ONLINE), and in person in box office starting May 11, 2026.
You can purchase the CONCERT SEPARATELY or as part of the cost-effective “CUSTOMIZED SEASON” starting June 8, 2026, at 8:00 a.m. (online and in person).
