Carl Maria von Weber (1786–1826), Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy (1809–1847) and Johannes Brahms (1833–1897) are the pillars of German Romanticism, which in Weber was budding, in Mendelssohn was developed and in Brahms reached the peak of its Classical-Romanticist branch, furthering music as an absolute art form.
The discussion with the dramaturge and his guests will take place at 6 pm in the director’s lounge. Reservations are required at besedy@filharmonie-brno.cz by 12 noon on Wednesday of the week of the concert.
This concert is supported by the Embassy of the State of Israel and the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany in the Czech Republic.
