There is only one music, irrespective of whether it was written in the Baroque or Romantic era, in the 20th century or recently. Music evolves, but its essence remains the same – it seeks to convey a testimony about its period of creation, even if it harks back to the past or looks into the future. This fact is not just reflected, but indeed emphasised in the programme of this recital by the internationally noted organist Christian Schmitt, who has invited several Filharmonie Brno members to join him in the performance.
