Let’s be honest: who hasn’t daydreamed in a concert hall at least once, wishing to leave their place in the audience, and experience instead how an orchestral musician sees and hears music in concert? Our project entitled In the Orchestra allows you to do precisely this. The ensemble will be spaced throughout the concert hall in Besední dům and the audience will sit among the players. Here is an opportunity to
get closer to the orchestra than ever before!
A repeat of a 2024/2025 season programme allows us to discover how the  orchestra evolved historically, from Baroque to Classical, Romantic, the early 20th century and the recent past. We will learn how the conductor’s role has changed. Our excerpts include two famous works which had their world premières in Brno (Janáček’s Taras Bulba in 1921 and Prokofiev’s ballet Romeo and Juliet in 1938).
