Entice children into the music world and those already living there, ensure playing with a professional orchestra in front of the a concert hall. That is the idea of festival Mozart´s children whichs Filharmonie Brno is a coorganizer for nine years. „Next to the concerts with children soloist there are concerts for schools or creative music workshops. We also return to Náměstí Svobody (Square of Freedom) with music school ensembles show between 15th and 17th June a the performers are big bands, brass bands or cimbal music ensembles from South Moravia Region,“ informs the Director of Music school Smetanova Petr Karas, coorganizer of the festival.
Festival starts on 29th May with May Concert in Besední dům presenting Brno Young Philharmonics and Choir of „Young Mozarts“ consists of talented singers from the region. Concerts for schools conducting by twentyfour-years old Jiří Habart and showing that classical music is not boring or incomprehensible are two days later.
The Ceremony concert on 3rd June in Stadion concert hall reminds one hundred-year anniversary of The Emergence of Czechoslovakia. „We have arranged a special programme by combination of czechs and slovaks opera compositions and presenting soloists from Czech republic and Slovakia as well. We have invited Richard Novák, a legendary bass singer, soprano Linda Ballová or a conductor Marián Lejava,“ says Dramaturge of Filharmonie Brno Vítězslav Mikeš. The aim of the Ceremony concert is to provide young talented musicians an opportunity to play with a professional symphony orchestra, but not as soloist but as members. „It is an extraordinary moment for most of them. They are becomimg colleagues of professional musicians for the first time. And we know from previous years, for a lot of them that was an importart impulse for their career,“ adds Director of Filharmonie Brno Marie Kučerová.
The concert with children soloists, very talented musicians, laureates of competitions, accompanied by Filharmonie Brno is on June 12. „The concerts presenting young musicians accompanied by our orchestra are always extraordinary not only for visitors, but most importantly for our „Mozarts“. It is an opportunity to play with a professional orchestra in front of full hall of Besední house,“ adds Kučerová.
