Stadion Hall (Babylon cultural centre), Kounicova 20, 7:00pm

The Janáček Theatre, where for many years the Brno Philharmonic could present itself at full strength, continues to undergo refurbishment. Therefore, in the 2018/2019 season, the orchestra will once again perform large-scale orchestral works at a venue it has often used in the past – the Stadion Hall in Kounicova Street. Collaborating with distinctive musicians both domestic and from abroad, the orchestra will offer old and new works in carefully conceived combinations, and commemorate some important anniversaries that fall in the 2018/2019 season: the centenary of the birth of Leonard Bernstein, the bicentenary of the birth of Jacques Offenbach, and Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov’s 175 th birthday, as well as 150 years since the death of Hector Berlioz and 70 years since that of Richard Strauss.
