Reicha Quartet

The only Czech string quartet playing on period instruments will introduce music by Prague-born Anton Reicha, contrasted with that of contemporary composers and those whose works can be performed on period strings. The concert will feature Martin Smolka’s string trio Tears, which has achieved cult status and was one of the first distinctive musical expressions of nostalgia for a lost past in Czechoslovakia.
