In this project, the composer and pianist Zygmunt Krauze, a dominant figure in the Polish avant-garde of the 1960s and 1970s, symbolically dusts down a faded idea from times when major concert virtuosos included their own improvisations in the composed repertoire, or improvised variations on the pieces they performed. The evening is a dialogue between two Polish composers and pianists – one past, the other present.
