The concluding concert of the festival will bring to the stage in their first Czech performances the unrepeatable recycling of Tchaikovsky’s famous Piano Concerto in B-flat minor by the pioneer of plunderphonics John Oswald and the bizarre Romanticism of Clarence Barlow’s concerto – both piano parts will be played by the Belgian Daan Vandewalle, with whose individual performance style the Brno audience is already acquainted – and Fragments of Memory by the legendary Polish avant-gardist, Zygmunt Krauze, who will perform the piano part himself. The concert will open with Cage’s Fourteen, whose presence on the programme strikes a musical reminiscence of a distant past, aiming “to sober and quiet the mind thus rendering it susceptible to divine influences”.
