The auditions are taking place in the concert hall of Besední dům, Komenského náměstí 8, Brno, Czech Republic, at 9 a.m. on September 26th 2023
AUDITION CONDITIONS: 3 years of orchestral experience with a contract in a professional orchestra
1. round:
Obligatory piece:
W. A. Mozart: first movement of classic concerto with cadenza
Orchestral parts:
B. Smetana: Bartered Bride – Overture
B. Smetana: Šárka
W. A. Mozart: Serenade in D KV 239
R. Strauss: Also sprach Zarathustra
2. round:
Obligatory piece:
1st or 2nd and 3rd movement from L. v. Beethoven´s Concerto D major or any other romantic till mid-20th century concerto
Orchestral parts:
L. Janáček: Glagolitic Mass Intrada
L. Janáček: Taras Bulba
R. Strauss: Also sprach Zarathustra – solo
A. Dvořák: Bagately
B. Smetana: Wallenstein´s Camp
Written applications with CV, contacts, information on the applicant’s education (a diploma from a conservatory or a music academy or university, at least (secondary) school-leaving certificate to the date of orchestra arrival ) and overview of previous artistic experience are due on 25th August 2023 at the following address:
