AUDITION FOR ORCHESTRAL PRACTICE

Filharmonie Brno Orchestra Academy
for following seasons 2020/2021 and 2021/2022
Auditions will be held on
9 April 2020 from 9.00 a.m.
at the seat of the Filharmonie Brno: Besední dům, Komenského nám. 8.
Musicians aged 18 to 26 who perform violin may submit their application to the Orchestral academy’s two year programme.
In their study of orchestral parts and preparations for rehearsals and concerts, Academy members will be guided by leading players of the orchestra. The programme focuses not only on orchestral repertoire, but also provides Academy members with the possibility of performing publicly at the Philharmonic’s chamber subscription concerts.
Requirements for the audition:
- First movement of a classic concerto (own choice)
- A solo composition without accompaniment (own choice, max. 10 minutes)
- Performance of repertory orchestral parts
Repertory orchestral parts will be send together with the invitation letter right after the deadline of the applications by e-mail said by the applicant in the application form.
