MANAGING DIRECTOR OF THE BRNO PHILHARMONIC ORCHESTRA invites applications for
ASSOCIATE PRINCIPAL FIRST VIOLIN (3rd chair)
The auditions are taking place in the concert hall of Besední dům, Komenského náměstí 8, Brno, Czech Republic, at 14 p.m. on December 05th 2024.
AUDITION CONDITIONS:
First round:
Obligatory piece: W. A. Mozart – first movement of classic concerto with cadenza
Orchestral parts:
W. A. Mozart: Symphony No. 39 in E flat major
L. Janáček: From the house of the death – overture, solo No. 2
A. Dvořák: Symphony No. 9 – solo No. 2
Second round:
Obligatory piece: 1st movement from concerto of romanticism, 20th century
Orchestral parts:
N. Rimskij-Korzakov: Scheherezade – solo
R. Strauss: Also sprach Zarathustra – solo No. 2
R. Strauss: Don Juan
G. Mahler: Symphony No. 1
R. Schumann: Symphony No. 2 in C major
L. Janáček: Taras Bulba
Written applications with CV, contacts, information on the applicant’s education (a diploma from a conservatory or a music academy or university, at least (secondary) school-leaving certificate to the date of orchestra arrival ) and overview of previous artistic experience are due on 4th November 2024 at the following address:
